						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> may impose, enter <span class="dictionary">judgment</span> for, and enforce any civil <span class="dictionary">penalty</span> or other <span class="dictionary">penalty</span> pronounced against any <span class="dictionary">person</span> for violating any of the provisions of this title, subject to the <span class="dictionary">hearing</span> provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Notice and hearing" href="/12.1-28/">12.1-28</a>. The power and authority conferred upon the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> by this section shall be in addition to and not in substitution for the power and authority conferred upon the <span class="dictionary">courts</span> by general <span class="dictionary">law</span> to impose civil penalties for violations of the <span class="dictionary">laws</span> of this Commonwealth.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 38-26; 1952, c. 317, &#xA7; 38.1-41; 1986, c. 562.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
