						<section><p>The term &#x201C;fidelity and <span class="dictionary">surety</span> <span class="dictionary">insurer</span>&#x201D; means any <span class="dictionary">company</span> licensed to transact fidelity or <span class="dictionary">surety</span> <span class="dictionary">insurance</span> in this Commonwealth, and includes any <span class="dictionary">company</span> elsewhere designated or referred to in this Code as a guaranty, indemnity, fidelity, <span class="dictionary">surety</span> or security <span class="dictionary">company</span>.</p></section></text><history>1952, c. 317, &#xA7; 38.1-640; 1986, c. 562.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
