						<section><p>Except as provided in this section, all <span class="dictionary">mutual assessment life, accident and sickness insurers</span> shall comply with all provisions of this title relating to insurers generally. Until July 1, 1990, those classes of <span class="dictionary">insurance</span> specified in Category A of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Classes of insurance that may be written by mutual assessment life, accident and sickness insurers" href="/38.2-3902/">38.2-3902</a> shall be exempt from this title, except this chapter and Chapters 5 and 6 of this title. In the event of conflict between the provisions of this chapter and other provisions of this title, the provisions of this chapter shall be controlling.</p></section></text><history>1985, c. 400, &#xA7; 38.1-549.4; 1986, c. 562.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
