						<section><p>Pursuant to the authority granted by &#xA7;&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Rules and regulations; orders" href="/38.2-223/">38.2-223</a> and <a class="law" title="Forms of insurance authorized" href="/38.2-3100.1/">38.2-3100.1</a>, the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> shall promulgate such regulations as may be necessary or appropriate to ensure that <span class="dictionary">applicants</span> for life or accident and sickness <span class="dictionary">insurance</span> coverage or for modifications to existing coverage are notified of test results whenever <span class="dictionary">insurers</span> require such <span class="dictionary">applicants</span> to submit to testing for human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV).</p></section></text><history>1997, c. 290.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
