						<section><p>Upon the abandonment or cessation of the operation of any <span class="dictionary">well</span> or corehole, the <span class="dictionary">gas</span>, <span class="dictionary">oil</span>, or <span class="dictionary">geophysical operator</span> shall immediately fill and plug the <span class="dictionary">well</span> or corehole in the manner required by regulations in force at the time of abandonment or the operation&#x2019;s cessation.</p></section></text><history>1990, c. 92, &#xA7; 45.1-361.34; 2021, Sp.
