						<section><p>It shall be unlawful for any person to replace any glass in any vehicle with any <span class="dictionary">material</span> other than an approved type of safety glass. Safety glazing <span class="dictionary">materials</span> other than glass approved by the <span class="dictionary">Superintendent</span> as provided in &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="When safety glass required" href="/46.2-1056/">46.2-1056</a> may, however, be used to replace safety glass in any portion of a <span class="dictionary">motor vehicle</span> which has been designated for such use by the <span class="dictionary">Superintendent</span>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 46-298; 1950, p. 699; 1958, c. 541, &#xA7; 46.1-294; 1989, c. 727.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
