						<section><p>The person in charge of any garage or repair shop to which is brought any <span class="dictionary">motor vehicle</span> equipped with bullet-proof glass or any smoke screen device or that shows <span class="dictionary">evidence</span> of having been struck by a bullet shall report in writing, on forms furnished by the <span class="dictionary">Superintendent</span> of State Police, to the nearest police station or to the State Police, within twenty-four hours after the <span class="dictionary">motor vehicle</span> is received, the engine number, registration number, serial number or identification number, and the name and address of the <span class="dictionary">owner</span> or <span class="dictionary">operator</span> of the vehicle if known.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7;&#xA7; 46-17.1, 46-17.3; 1952, c. 538; 1958, c. 541, &#xA7;&#xA7; 46.1-10, 46.1-12; 1960, c. 119; 1989, c. 727.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
