						<section><p>Any <span class="dictionary">trailer</span> required by any provision of this title to undergo periodic safety inspections shall be inspected by an official inspection station between the time it comes into the <span class="dictionary">possession</span> of a retail <span class="dictionary">dealer</span> and the time the <span class="dictionary">trailer</span> is sold by the <span class="dictionary">dealer</span> or, in lieu of an inspection, the <span class="dictionary">dealer</span> shall present to the purchaser, prior to purchase of the <span class="dictionary">trailer</span>, a written itemization of all the <span class="dictionary">trailer</span>&#x2019;s deficiencies relative to applicable safety inspection requirements. The provisions of this section shall not apply to (i) sales of trailers or <span class="dictionary">watercraft trailers</span> by individuals not ordinarily engaged in the business of selling trailers or <span class="dictionary">watercraft trailers</span> or (ii) the <span class="dictionary">retail sale</span> of five or more trailers to the same buyer. Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this section is guilty of a Class 1 <span class="dictionary">misdemeanor</span>.</p></section></text><history>2015, c. 615.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
