						<section><p>If any <span class="dictionary">Department</span> of <span class="dictionary">Motor Vehicles</span> investigator finds that a <span class="dictionary">vehicle</span> bearing <span class="dictionary">license plates</span> or temporary transport plates issued under this article is being operated in a manner inconsistent with (i) the requirements of this article or (ii) the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span>&#x2019;s authorization provided for in this article, the <span class="dictionary">Department</span> of <span class="dictionary">Motor Vehicles</span> investigator may remove the <span class="dictionary">license plate</span> for <span class="dictionary">cancellation</span>. Once a <span class="dictionary">license plate</span> has been cancelled, the dealership may reapply for the <span class="dictionary">license plate</span>. Reissuance of the <span class="dictionary">license plate</span> shall be subject to the approval of the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> and the payment of the fee prescribed for issuance of <span class="dictionary">license plates</span> under this article.</p></section></text><history>1991, c. 712.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
