						<section><p>If the <span class="dictionary">judgment creditor</span> consents in writing, in whatever form the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> prescribes, that the <span class="dictionary">judgment debtor</span> be allowed a <span class="dictionary">driver</span>&#x2019;s license and <span class="dictionary">motor vehicle</span> registration, the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> may allow the same, notwithstanding <span class="dictionary">default</span> in the payment of the judgment or any installment thereof, for six months from the date of consent and thereafter until it is revoked in writing, if the <span class="dictionary">judgment debtor</span> furnishes proof of his <span class="dictionary">financial responsibility in the future</span> as provided in this chapter.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 46-435; 1958, c. 541, &#xA7; 46.1-448; 1989, c. 727.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
