						<section><p>Any <span class="dictionary">motor vehicle</span> dealer who purchases a vehicle titled in another state and that was repossessed may sell that vehicle in Virginia without obtaining a Virginia title for the vehicle from Virginia or the state in which the vehicle is titled, provided the <span class="dictionary">motor vehicle</span> dealer has an <span class="dictionary">affidavit</span> of repossession or similar document showing the lawful repossession, which <span class="dictionary">affidavit</span> or document would be sufficient to allow the sale of the repossessed vehicle in the state where it is titled without titling the vehicle in the name of the seller.</p></section></text><history>2009, cc. 185, 691.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
