						<section><p>From every noncompliance fee collected by the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> under the provisions of this article, the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> shall retain $100 to be placed in a special fund in the state treasury to be used to meet the expenses of the <span class="dictionary">Department</span>. All other funds collected by the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> under the provisions of this article shall be paid into the state treasury and held in a special fund to be known as the Uninsured Motorists Fund to be disbursed as provided by <span class="dictionary">law</span>. The <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> may expend moneys from such funds, for the administration of this article, in accordance with the general appropriation act.</p></section></text><history>1958, c. 407, &#xA7; 46.1-167.6; 1989, c. 727; 2019, cc. 149, 193.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
