						<section><p>The maximum speed limit shall be fifty-five miles per hour on any <span class="dictionary">highway</span> having a posted speed limit of fifty-five miles or more per hour if the <span class="dictionary">vehicle</span> or combination of <span class="dictionary">vehicles</span> is operating under a special permit issued by the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> in accordance with &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Permits for excessive size and weight generally; penalty" href="/46.2-1139/">46.2-1139</a> or &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Permit authorizing transportation of tree-length logs" href="/46.2-1149.2/">46.2-1149.2</a>.
