						<section><p>Before entering upon the duties of their office the superintendent and <span class="dictionary">jail officers</span> shall take and subscribe the <span class="dictionary">oath</span> prescribed by &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Form of general oath required of officers" href="/49-1/">49-1</a>. The <span class="dictionary">board</span> shall require the superintendent and <span class="dictionary">jail officers</span> to participate in the blanket <span class="dictionary">surety</span> <span class="dictionary">bond</span> plan for state and local employees established in &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Blanket surety bond plan for state and local employees" href="/2.2-1840/">2.2-1840</a>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 53-206.7; 1956, c. 681; 1982, c. 636; 1991, c. 383; 1995, c. 5.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
