						<section><p>The sheriff of each county or city shall be the keeper of the jail thereof unless that locality is a member of a jail or jail farm <span class="dictionary">board</span> or regional jail authority, in which case the provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Members of jail or jail farm board or regional jail authority; powers; payment of pro rata costs" href="/53.1-106/">53.1-106</a> shall apply.</p></section></text><history>1994, c. 491.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
