						<section><p>In addition to the remedies provided by &#xA7;&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Rules and regulations" href="/55.1-1228/">55.1-1228</a> and <a class="law" title="Other provisions of law applicable" href="/55.1-1311/">55.1-1311</a>, a <span class="dictionary">landlord</span> may evict a <span class="dictionary">tenant</span> only for violation of the applicable building and housing code caused by a lack of reasonable care by the <span class="dictionary">tenant</span>, a member of the <span class="dictionary">tenant</span>&#x2019;s household, or a <span class="dictionary">guest or invitee</span> of the <span class="dictionary">tenant</span>.</p></section></text><history>1992, c. 709, &#xA7; 55-248.50:1; 2019, c. 712; 2024, cc. 726, 762.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
