						<section><p>The person taking an acknowledgment shall certify that:</p></section>
						<section id="1"><p><span class="prefix-number">1.</span> The person acknowledging appeared before him and acknowledged he executed the instrument; and <a id="paragraph-310065" class="section-permalink" href="https://vacode.org/55.1-618/#1"><i class="fa fa-link"/></a></p></section>
