						<section><p>All <span class="dictionary">sports betting</span> shall be initiated and received within Virginia unless otherwise permitted by federal <span class="dictionary">law</span>. Consistent with the <span class="dictionary">intent</span> of the United States Congress as expressed in the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, 31 U.S.C. &#xA7;&#xA0;5361 et seq., the intermediate routing of electronic data relating to lawful intrastate <span class="dictionary">sports betting</span> authorized under this article shall not determine the location in which such bet is initiated and received.</p></section></text><history>2020, cc. 1218, 1256.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
