						<section><p>Any violation of this chapter shall constitute a prohibited practice under the provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Prohibited practices" href="/59.1-200/">59.1-200</a> and shall be subject to the enforcement provisions of the Virginia <span class="dictionary">Consumer</span> Protection Act (&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Title" href="/59.1-196/">59.1-196</a> et seq.). However, if a supplier makes a good faith effort to comply with the requirements of this chapter, the supplier shall not be subject to either a civil <span class="dictionary">penalty</span> under &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Civil penalties; attorney fees" href="/59.1-206/">59.1-206</a> or <span class="dictionary">damages</span> under &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Individual action for damages or penalty" href="/59.1-204/">59.1-204</a>.</p></section></text><history>2018, c. 704.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
