						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">possession</span> or transportation of any drug except those permitted by regulations of the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> within the racing <span class="dictionary">enclosure</span> is prohibited except upon a bona fide veterinarian&#x2019;s prescription with complete statement of uses and purposes on the container. A copy of such prescription shall be filed with the <span class="dictionary">stewards</span>. Any <span class="dictionary">person</span> knowingly violating the provisions of this section relating to the legal <span class="dictionary">possession</span> of drugs shall be guilty of a Class 1 <span class="dictionary">misdemeanor</span>. The provisions of the Drug Control Act (&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Citation" href="/54.1-3400/">54.1-3400</a> et seq.) shall apply in situations where drugs regulated by that Act are within the racing <span class="dictionary">enclosure</span>.</p></section></text><history>1988, c. 855.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
