						<section><p>The Authority may take such steps as necessary, not inconsistent with other provisions of <span class="dictionary">law</span>, to prevent and <span class="dictionary">suppress</span> fires on the waters of Hampton Roads, its tributaries and other waters in the vicinity of Hampton Roads, and on property adjacent to such waters which is accessible to a fire boat. In furtherance of this purpose, the Authority may, out of such funds as may become available, purchase, equip, maintain, use, and provide and train a crew or crews for a fire boat or fire boats.</p></section></text><history>1983, c. 303.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
