						<section><p>The owners or operators of any <span class="dictionary">assisted living facility</span> may provide that their employees who are certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) shall not be required to resuscitate any resident for whom a valid written <span class="dictionary">order</span> not to resuscitate in the event of cardiac or respiratory <span class="dictionary">arrest</span> has been issued by the attending physician and has been included in the resident&#x2019;s individualized service plan.</p></section></text><history>1996, c. 775, &#xA7; 63.1-174.3; 2002, c. 747.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
