						<section><p><span class="dictionary">Local boards</span> in the exercise and performance of their functions, duties and powers under the provisions of this title are authorized to hold and conduct <span class="dictionary">hearings</span>, <span class="dictionary">issue</span> <span class="dictionary">subpoenas</span> requiring the attendance of witnesses and the production of records, memoranda, papers and other documents, to administer <span class="dictionary">oaths</span> and to take <span class="dictionary">testimony</span> thereunder.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 63-74; 1968, c. 578, &#xA7; 63.1-58; 2002, c. 747.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
