						<section><p>Except as provided in &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Recovery of public assistance erroneously paid" href="/63.2-512/">63.2-512</a>, no <span class="dictionary">public assistance</span> given under this subtitle shall be transferable or assignable, at <span class="dictionary">law</span> or in <span class="dictionary">equity</span>, and none of the money paid or payable as <span class="dictionary">public assistance</span> under this subtitle shall be subject to execution, <span class="dictionary">levy</span>, <span class="dictionary">attachment</span>, <span class="dictionary">garnishment</span> or other legal process, or to the operation of any <span class="dictionary">bankruptcy</span> or insolvency <span class="dictionary">laws</span>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 63-102; 1968, c. 578, &#xA7; 63.1-88; 2002, c. 747.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
