						<section><p>Any assistance or part thereof erroneously paid to a recipient or former recipient may be recovered by the Board or <span class="dictionary">local board</span> from the recipient or former recipient as a debt. In accordance with Board regulations, the amount erroneously paid may also be recovered from the income, <span class="dictionary">assets</span> or other property of the recipient or former recipient or from the <span class="dictionary">public assistance</span> payable to the recipient.</p></section></text><history>1975, c. 320, &#xA7; 63.1-127.2; 1983, c. 449; 2002, c. 747.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
