						<section><p><span class="dictionary">Local departments</span> shall ensure that any individual who was in foster care on his eighteenth birthday is enrolled, unless the individual <span class="dictionary">objects</span>, in the Commonwealth&#x2019;s program of medical assistance established pursuant to &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Board to submit plan for medical assistance services to U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services pursuant to federal law; administration of plan; contracts with health care providers" href="/32.1-325/">32.1-325</a>, provided that such individual is eligible to receive health care services under the Commonwealth&#x2019;s program of medical assistance and was enrolled in such program on his eighteenth birthday. Prior to enrollment, <span class="dictionary">local departments</span> shall provide such individuals with basic information about health care services provided under the state plan for medical assistance services and inform such individuals that, if eligible, they will be enrolled in the Commonwealth&#x2019;s program of medical assistance unless they <span class="dictionary">object</span>.</p></section></text><history>2017, c. 203.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
