						<section><p>The provisions of Chapter 17 (&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Natural guardians" href="/64.2-1700/">64.2-1700</a> et seq.) and this chapter are applicable to all guardianships, whenever created, except that a guardian who qualifies prior to July 1, 1999, shall have the power to make conveyances of his ward&#x2019;s estate only in accordance with the <span class="dictionary">laws</span> in effect on June 30, 1999, unless the guardian in office on June 30, 1999, has requalified on or after July 1, 1999.</p></section></text><history>1999, c. 16, &#xA7; 31-18.1; 2012, c. 614.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
