						<section><p>In addition to the civil penalties assessed pursuant to &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Civil penalty for violation of &#xA7;&#xA7; 65.2-800, 65.2-803.1, and 65.2-804" href="/65.2-805/">65.2-805</a>, any <span class="dictionary">employer</span> who knowingly and intentionally fails to comply with the provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Duty to insure payment of compensation; effect of insurance" href="/65.2-800/">65.2-800</a> or <a class="law" title="Evidence of compliance with title; notices of cancellation of insurance" href="/65.2-804/">65.2-804</a> is guilty of a Class 2 <span class="dictionary">misdemeanor</span>.
		<span class="dictionary">Venue</span> for the <span class="dictionary">prosecution</span> hereof when there is an <span class="dictionary">injury</span> shall lie in the county or city wherein the <span class="dictionary">injury</span> occurred.</p></section></text><history>1977, c. 434, &#xA7; 65.1-106.1; 1991, c. 355; 2005, c. 69.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
