						<section><p>Whenever an <span class="dictionary">employer</span> has complied with the provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Insurance or proof of financial ability to pay required" href="/65.2-801/">65.2-801</a> relating to self-insurance, the Workers&#x2019; Compensation <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> shall <span class="dictionary">issue</span> to such <span class="dictionary">employer</span> a certificate which shall remain in force for a period fixed by the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span>. But the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> may upon at least thirty days&#x2019; notice and <span class="dictionary">hearing</span> to the <span class="dictionary">employer</span> revoke the certificate upon satisfactory <span class="dictionary">evidence</span> for such <span class="dictionary">revocation</span> having been presented. At any time after such <span class="dictionary">revocation</span>, the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> may grant a new certificate to the <span class="dictionary">employer</span> upon his <span class="dictionary">petition</span>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 65-104; 1968, c. 660, &#xA7; 65.1-108; 1979, c. 463; 1987, c. 343; 1991, c. 355.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
