						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">Department</span> is authorized to accept and expend for the benefit of any <span class="dictionary">child</span> committed to it, or for reimbursement purposes, any funds made available from any source, solely for the current maintenance and support of any such <span class="dictionary">child</span>, whether such funds be provided by the <span class="dictionary">child</span>&#x2019;s parents, or other person, or by the U.S. <span class="dictionary">Department</span> of Veterans Affairs, the Railroad Retirement Act, the old age and survivor&#x2019;s insurance provisions of the federal Social Security Act, as amended, or from any other source.
