EXPENSE OF BOARDING AND LODGING JURORS (§ 15.2-1614.1)

Whenever it is necessary for a sheriff or sergeant to pay for the board and
lodging of juries, he shall obtain a receipt for the funds so spent and on or
before the fifth day of the month next succeeding he shall present such bill to
the board of supervisors or other governing body of the county or to the city
council, as the case may be, which shall, if it is found correct, reimburse the
sheriff or sergeant for the amount so spent by him for such purpose. The county
or city shall be reimbursed by the Commonwealth for all sums so expended on
account of any criminal trial involving an offense against the Commonwealth.
