APPOINTMENT OF AUXILIARY POLICE OFFICERS; REVOCATION OF APPOINTMENT; UNIFORM;
ORGANIZATION; RULES AND REGULATIONS (§ 15.2-1733)

The governing body of the locality may appoint or provide for the appointment as
auxiliary police officers as many persons of good character as it deems
necessary, not to exceed the number fixed by ordinance adopted by the governing
body, and their appointment shall be revocable at any time by the governing
body. The governing body may prescribe the uniform, organization, and such rules
as it deems necessary for the operation of the auxiliary police force.
