                                 CODE OF VIRGINIA

CONSOLIDATION OF ENTIRE COUNTY REQUIRES NO ACTION OF TOWN COUNCIL (§ 15.2-3547)

An entire county may be consolidated with any county or city having a common
boundary in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this article without the
necessity of any action concerning the consolidation being taken by the council
of any town situated in such county and without the necessity of a separate
referendum in any such town on the question of the consolidation.
