ASSISTANCE TO ARRESTING OFFICER (§ 19.2-94)

Every officer or other person empowered to make the arrest, as provided in the
preceding section, shall have the same authority, in arresting the accused, to
command assistance therein as the sheriffs and sergeants of the several counties
and cities of this Commonwealth have by law in the execution of any criminal
process directed to them, with like penalties against those who refuse to render
their assistance.
