RIGHT TO ENTER UPON PROPERTY (§ 25.1-223)

A. Unless otherwise provided by law, any petitioner may enter upon the property
to be condemned at any time after the filing of its petition for condemnation,
for the purpose of constructing its works or improvements thereon in the manner
proposed by the petitioner upon approval of the petitioner&#8217;s application
for entry as provided in this article.

B. Notice of the petitioner&#8217;s application for entry shall be served on the
owners in the same manner as is provided in this chapter for service of notice
of the filing of a petition.
