HARVESTING, TRANSPORTING, HANDLING OR TRANSPLANTING OF SEED-STOCK SHELLFISH (§
28.2-820)

The Commission shall promulgate regulations for the harvesting, transporting,
handling and transplanting of wild and cultured seed-stock shellfish from
condemned areas. The Commission shall consider limitations based on the size of
seed-stock shellfish that may be harvested, methods of handling, controls on the
methods of transportation, and restrictions on the transplanting process
necessary to protect the health of the public. The Commission shall consult with
the State Health Commissioner prior to the adoption of any such regulation.
