APPLICABILITY TO HOSPITALS AND NURSING HOMES FOR PRACTICE OF RELIGIOUS TENETS
(§ 32.1-128)

Nothing in this article shall be construed to authorize or require the
interference with or prevention of the establishment or operation of a hospital
or nursing home for the practice of religious tenets of any recognized church or
denomination in the ministration to the sick and suffering by mental or
spiritual means without the use of any drug or material remedy, whether
gratuitously or for compensation, provided the statutes and regulations on
environmental protection and life safety are complied with.
