SIDEWALKS AND WALKWAYS FOR PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC (§ 33.2-112)

The Board may construct such sidewalks or walkways on the bridges and along the
highways under its jurisdiction as it deems necessary for the protection of
pedestrian traffic.
		All provisions of law with respect to the acquisition of lands and interests
therein and the construction, reconstruction, alteration, improvement, and
maintenance of highways in the primary and secondary state highway systems,
including the exercise of the power of eminent domain by the Board and the
Commissioner of Highways, shall be applicable to such sidewalks and walkways.
