CURE BY MENTAL OR SPIRITUAL MEANS WITHOUT USE OF DRUGS OR MATERIAL REMEDY (§
37.2-414)

Nothing contained in this article shall be construed to authorize or require a
license of a provider to establish, maintain and operate, or have charge of any
service for the care and treatment of persons by the practice of the religious
tenets of any church in the ministration to the sick and suffering by mental or
spiritual means without the use of any drug or material remedy, whether
gratuitously or for compensation, provided the statutes and regulations on
sanitation and safety are complied with.
