TEMPORARY INSURANCE CONTRACTS; DURATION; WHAT DEEMED TO INCLUDE (§ 38.2-2112)

A. Oral or written binders or other temporary insurance contracts may be made
and used for a period not exceeding sixty days pending the issuance of the
policy, and shall be deemed to include all agreements and provisions set out in
&#xA7;&#xA7; 38.2-2104 and 38.2-2105 and all applicable endorsements designated
in the temporary insurance contract. Unless otherwise expressly provided, the
contract shall be deemed to include the usual provisions, stipulations and
agreements which are commonly used in this Commonwealth in effecting the
insurance.

B. No temporary insurance contract shall include any provision or agreement
which is inconsistent with or waives any provision, stipulation, agreement or
condition required by &#xA7; 38.2-2104 or &#xA7; 38.2-2105. However, the
cancellation provision and the provision fixing the hour of inception may be
superseded by the express terms of the temporary insurance contract.
