 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT; ADJOINING LANDOWNERS; LOCAL OFFICIAL (§ 45.2-1210)

A. Each application for a permit shall be accompanied by a statement showing the
names and addresses of the owners of each property within 1,000 feet of the
property line of any land proposed to be permitted, as well as certification
that such landowners have been notified by certified mail of the application for
a permit unless notified previously. Such residents may file written objections
with the Director and may request a hearing.

B. Each application for a permit shall also be accompanied by a statement
certifying that the chief administrative official of the county or city in which
the land proposed to be permitted is located has been notified of the proposed
operation by certified mail.

C. This section applies to an initial application for a permit only, and no new
notice shall be required for a renewal application or for a permit for acreage
in addition to that originally permitted.
