 INJUNCTION PROHIBITING MINING OPERATION (§ 45.2-1225)

Whenever adverse ecological disruptions or the injurious effects thereof
seriously threaten or endanger the health, safety, welfare, or property rights
of citizens of the Commonwealth, and abatement by the application of control
techniques is not feasible, the Director shall petition the appropriate circuit
court for an injunction to prohibit further operations. Such injunction shall
not relieve the operator of the duty to reclaim lands previously affected
according to the terms and conditions of the applicable permit.
