SUSPENSION OF LICENSE FOR CERTAIN VIOLATIONS WHILE TRANSPORTING EXPLOSIVES,
INFLAMMABLE GAS OR LIQUID (§ 46.2-397)

When the driver of any motor vehicle is convicted of any violation of §§
46.2-816, 46.2-820 through 46.2-823, 46.2-825, 46.2-826 or §§ 46.2-852 through
46.2-864, or of any of the applicable speed limits prescribed in §§ 46.2-870
through 46.2-878 and the violation was committed while driving a motor vehicle,
tractor truck, trailer, or semitrailer, transporting explosives or any
inflammable gas or liquid, in addition to any penalty imposed, the court may
suspend the driver&#8217;s license of the convicted person for a period of
ninety days from the date of conviction.
