ACQUISITION OF AIRPORTS; APPROVAL (§ 5.1-154)

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority created by this act is hereby
authorized, when similarly authorized by the District of Columbia, to acquire
from the United States of America, by lease or otherwise, the two airports known
as Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International
Airport and all related properties now administered by the Metropolitan
Washington Airports, an agency of the Federal Aviation Administration of the
United States Department of Transportation, but only with the approval of the
Governor of Virginia. Subject to such gubernatorial approval, general consent is
hereby given to conditions imposed by the Congress of the United States on such
acquisitions that are not inconsistent with this act.
