USE OF OFFICERS AS TO PERSONS CONVICTED OF LOCAL VIOLATIONS; PAYMENT OF EXPENSES
(§ 53.1-146)

Upon request of the governing body of a county, city or town, the probation and
parole officer shall perform the same duties and have the same powers as to
persons convicted for violations of ordinances of the county, city or town as he
has as to persons violating laws of the Commonwealth. The county, city or town
so using the services of a probation and parole officer shall pay a pro rata
part of his expenses to be arrived at by mutual agreement between the local
governing body and the Department.
