COMMISSIONS ON COLLECTIONS (§ 58.1-3176)

Each clerk shall be entitled to a commission of five percent of the amount of
state revenue collected by him. However, if the aggregate amount of state
revenue collected for six months&#8217; collections reported exceeds the sum of
$50,000, the clerk shall be entitled to a three percent commission on the amount
in excess of $50,000. Such commissions shall not be deducted by any such clerk,
but shall be paid out of the state treasury. Commissions shall not be allowed on
costs collected pursuant to § 19.2-368.18.
