SUITS BY ATTORNEYS FOR THE COMMONWEALTH AND CITY AND COUNTY ATTORNEYS (§
59.1-68.4)

Notwithstanding any other provisions of the law to the contrary, any attorney
for the Commonwealth, or the attorney for any city or county, may investigate
and cause to be brought suit in the name of the Commonwealth, or of the county
or city, to enjoin any violation of Chapter 2.1 (§ 59.1-21.1 et seq.) of this
title and of Article 8 (§ 18.2-214 et seq.), Chapter 6 of Title 18.2. The court
having jurisdiction may enjoin such violations notwithstanding the existence of
an adequate remedy at law. In any action under this section, it shall not be
necessary that damages be alleged or proved.
