§ 2.2-2518 The Virginia Commission on Higher Education Board Appointments; purpose

The Virginia Commission on Higher Education Board Appointments, (the Commission) is established as an advisory commission in the executive branch of state government. The purpose of the Commission shall be to review and evaluate potential appointees to the governing bodies of Virginia’s public institutions of higher education, the State Board for Community Colleges, and the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, and to make recommendations to the Governor.

History

This law was first created in 2005. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapters 933 and 945 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year.
