§ 10.1-412 Historic Falls of the James State Scenic River

The Historic Falls of the James in the City of Richmond, from the western 1970 corporate limits of the city to Orleans Street extended, a distance of approximately eight miles, is hereby designated as the Historic Falls of the James State Scenic River, a component of the Virginia Scenic Rivers System.

History

This law was first created in 1972. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 404 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1972 “Acts” aren’t available online. It has been modified 6 times. Those modifications are cataloged by “The Acts of Assembly,” a state publication, by year and chapter. Those modifications that can be read on the General Assembly’s website will be linked accordingly. Those modifications are as follows: in 1984, chapters 176 and 739; in 1985, chapter 346; in 1988, chapter 891; in 2003, chapter 240; in 2018, chapter 273; in 2022, chapter 235.
