The Board shall adopt regulations governing advertising practices of any provider licensed pursuant to this article. The regulations shall require that any provider’s advertisement not contain false or misleading information or false or misleading representations as to fees charged for services.

History

This law was first created in 1990. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 809 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1990 “Acts” aren’t available online. It has been modified 2 times. Those modifications are cataloged by “The Acts of Assembly,” a state publication, by year and chapter. Those modifications that can be read on the General Assembly’s website will be linked accordingly. Those modifications are as follows: in 2001, chapters 486 and 506; in 2005, chapter 716.

1990, c. 809, § 37.1-188.1; 2001, cc. 486, 506; 2005, c. 716.
